Hosting Your Own Open House

If you are a Scentsy Consultant and you are having problems booking parties or you are running out of contacts then you can host your own open house. You will be the host and you will be able to keep the free and half price items for yourself. I always host my own open house every February and every August whenever the new catalogs come out. It is an excellent way to get all of your friends, family, customers and everyone you know in front of you so that they can smell all of the new scents and see the latest products. First you need to pick a date and a location for your open house. Some people will have their open house last all weekend and some will have it last a full day it's entirely up to you and what you have time for. After you have picked your date and location then you can start inviting everyone you can think of. Be sure you send out your invitations about 1-2 weeks before the open house so that your guests have time to make arrangements to attend. After I have mailed out the invites I like to follow up with each guest with either a facebook message, a phone call, or an email about 3 days before the open house just to remind them. Also I tell them that they get a free gift if they bring a friend.

Your display for your open house should be simple. I always have an element warmer, a full size warmer, and a plug in warmer on my display table. I usually also have a room spray, a body spray, a hand cream, a body lotion, a scent circle, and a scent pak for them to look at and try out. I arrange my party testers by category and I give each guest a wish list so that they can write down their favorite scents. Really all you need to have a successful open house is what comes in your starter kit so if your just starting out and don't have a lot of extra products don't worry about it because the idea is to keep it simple and interact with your guests and build relationships. You will want to have drawing slips for each guest to fill out that way you get their contact information and you can do small drawings throughout the night and have the prize be a scent circle or a bag of samples. You don't want to go overboard and spend a lot of extra money for your open house. The purpose of your open house is to book parties so this should be your number one focus and you can do that by playing a booking game. The game that I play is I have each person roll the dice and write the number on their order form and then I tell them that for anyone who books a party today they will get a full size warmer for the number that they rolled so if they rooked a 10 then they would pay $10 for a $30 full size warmer. I have also done the bookings bags and played the deal or no deal game. There are a lot of different booking games that you can play and you can search for them on You Tube and it will give you the videos on how to play the games. I offer them the choice to book a home party, a basket party, or an open house because all of these options will let them choice one that fits best with their schedule.

Everyone who attends my open house will leave with a goody bag and in it includes a few scent samples, a product list, host brochure, join brochure, and a hand written thank you card thanking them for attending and letting them know that I appreciate them. Hopefully after your open house you will have your calendar full of parties. Always have your own calendar ready with the dates you have available for parties so that your guests know that they can only pick from the dates that you have marked. I hope this helps you and if you have any questions feel free to call me (270)635-6109 or contact through my website https://ashleybraden.scentsy.us
